Will a Victorian Cameo tattoo cover up another one?

I want to get a Victorian Cameo tattoo to cover up one I already have. The tattoo I am wanting to cover up is approximately 6 inches high and it was 3 white and pink cherry blossoms with black outline and 2 chinese character letters.

I love the meaning behind the one I have now, but the person who did the tattoo was very rude, unprofessional, and I’m not 100 percent happy with the outcome of the tattoo.

Would a victorian cameo be able to cover up the one I already have?

Most probably not. Only one percent of images work as cover ups, so find a good cover up tattoo artist and they will tell you what works and what doesn’t.

How can I cover this tattoo?

I got 19 stars up my spine and I decided I don’t like them any more. Its too expensive to get it removed and I have no problem going bigger…Im a firefighter so I want to do something involving fire and I want to something in about my deceased father who was also a firefighter. click the link..

Go into your tattoo artists shop and show him/her the tattoo, tell them about your ideas and they will sketch up a nice cover up :) Far better than any of us could do over the internet.

Need tattoo design. help?

I want to get a tattoo on my rib cage. I was thinking a thin vine (or branch) of roses (which would sort of look like a cherry blossom tree) … can someone please draw this up for me? Thanks!

It all depends on this……

I’ve seen some amazingly beautiful tattoos. Buttttttttttt……..

You might want to consider a few things before having ink injected under your skin.

If you have the potential for high end, higher paying jobs, you will be punished if your tattoo shows. Promotions withheld along with raises. The more visible, the bigger, the more you will find yourself stuck, with no advancement potential.. ?AND NO, your employer will never ever tell you why. It’ll just happen. This is WHY, those that CAN qualify for high paying jobs, later spend thousands $$$$ to have their tattoos removed.?

If you don’t have the potential for higher paying jobs, then it doesn’t matter if you tattoo your entire body. GO FOR IT !

You already KNOW, most people don’t like anything for more than a few months. Yet they mark their body with ink that is virtually irreversible to "completely" remove. Most people don’t want to look at the same thing, ANYTHING, for the next 70 to 80 years as it stretches to something unrecognizable?

The tattoo fad is fading fast. It won’t be long and they’ll mostly go back to where only Sailors, Bikers and Carnies get tattoos. Not one of my relatives doesn’t wish they would have never gotten a tattoo.?

It is estimated that it will be a billion dollar business a few years down the road, when those who bit on the tattoo fad finally realize their tatoo’s were MADE, for "LIFE", and they pay thousands of dollars to (TRY) to have it burned off with a laser…..

Long after the taboo and coolness (they think this will be) has worn off, they’ve shown all their friends, and shortly thereafter, nobody cares anymore, it will still be there with you FOREVER !!! ?This is especially true the younger the person is when they get the tattoo.

?18 -23 year olds make up the majority that will be paying for removal later. So I suggest, if you get one, put it where it can easily be hidden. What sounds like a great idea as a teen or early tween, often turns out NOT to be. Tattoos are FOREVER ! you will on day regret it, if you get inked.?

My friend sent me this little poem, and as a result, it made me think about it Juuuuust long enough that I changed my mind and didn’t get ink injected under my skin. ?

I have known people in the past who have had a professional artist draw them up a picture that they could take in when they get a tattoo.I do know of an artist that works online and sends you images either by email or by mail depending on what format you choose.I have no idea what her rates run, but if I remember correctly, for an artist it is pretty cheap.Your description kindof reminds me of some of the paintings and drawings I have seen on her website.www.tiffanysheely.com.I think she gets back to you pretty fast.

That would be easy for a professional tattoo artist to draw it out for you, go see what they have to offer and if that is the type of thing your looking for.

Yes.A qualified tattoo artist that you consult in person can draw that for you.

Should men get tree tattoos?

and if so what kind? cherry blossums or someother type of tree?

Depends.
My friend has one on the back of his leg thats pretty cool.
Starts withan upside down pyramid that leads into roots that intertwine and what not to symbolize the hardships he has gone through, and eventually spreads into branches to show what he has become or something like that.

So yeah they should get em if it means something to them, if not then no.

It all depends on this……

How bad do shoulder tattoos hurt?

im going to get my very first tattoo in a couple of weeks and i would like some input on what kind of pain to be expecting. im getting a quote on my left shoulder area with a small, simple picture underneath (GAAAHHH SO EXCITED). Thanks in advance for any answers and your help :)

It’s all about pain tolerance. In my opinion it’s the length of time it will take and detail of the tattoo itself not where you get it.

This exact question has been asked hundreds of times on here, why wouldn’t you use the search bar to find out its obvious that nobody can tell you how much a tattoo will hurt you…

===== Update:
You think the design of the tattoo changes the fact that nobody can tell you how much pain you’ll feel?If you wanted ideas of how others felt, why not use the search bar and read every question that asked how badly shoulder tattoos hurt?

What to do about my new tattoo?

Well i got my tattoo on Monday (Feb.13) around 11.30am(finished) i got it from a friend.not from a shop.and i been using a+d on it ever since…washing it morning and night..supposely its suppose to scab or peel but i havent had any sign of that..i somewhat heard not scabbing is good..but jus wanna make sure..also what do i do now. keep applying a+d?and after that what do i keep doing..hope you can help.and if you have any tips please feel free to tell :)

Friends do not give friends scratch-tattoos.
Personally I’d stop putting ointment on it.

Your probably lucky if it doesnt scab because your less likely to lose color or for it to fade prematurely. Everyone reacts different I guess. When I got a tattoo on my finger the guy was telling me how to take care of it and he was like there are different reactions for different people, just like how some people feel pain when getting a tattoo more than others.

At this point, you might wanna go easy on the A&D. Start using lubiderm instead. That tattoo has got to breathe, it needs plenty of air to heal right. Your friend needs an autoclave. If you haven’t checked yourself for Hep C yet, now’s the time.

If it dosent scab it dosent really mean anything bad i have 8 tattoos and only a few of them scabbed it just means it has healed better than normal.but if it was to scab dont peel it.that will leave specks in your color and you will hvae to go back for a touch up.

Your tattoo is doing fine, not all tattoos will scab, just keep it clean , wash, then always pat it dry. I always use is sold at the tattoo shop on my tattoos, but i have heard peole like to use Liberiderm lotion on them as well.

YOU’RE GOING TO DIE

I am looking to get some input on the design of a tattoo?

any artists want to help? i am looking into a new tattoo i want 3 different flowers combined so that they flow together, I would also like to integrate the breast cancer (pink) ribbon into the design. any ideas? I’ve tried to draw some things but I am not a really good artist. the three flowers will represent me, my mom, and my grandma-who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This would be a 3 generations tattoo (all three of us will be getting a variation of it most likely my mom and grandma would want small versions of this where i would like to be able to include a lot detail so size is not as important). I think it would be pretty cool if i could integrate the number 3 or something like that since it is for the 3 of us.

Well I know I’ve seen (and have been thinking about) having a pink ribbon that flows into the word "hope" so it tells that you support the hope of curing breast cancer, etc. Maybe like a tied bouquet with the ribbon? (the e being the icon http://www.bozined.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/pink-ribbon-hope-tattoo.jpg). If you want flowers more of the focus though maybe the stems could intertwine into the word "hope" (or whatever other word you want) or maybe even falling petals as such. The three flowers seems like it would already represent three but you could also have three falling petals, too?
I think the bouquet would be the most doable/most appealing. Have the three flowers next to each other, or two side by side and one on top and have them tied together with the word going to the side or diagonally.
Something like this? http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AaNXDRu4ZMWjjo
Sorry that was a quick sketch, lol, but I hope I helped!

Non-Buddhist Traditional Thai Tattoos?

I am a farang living in Bangkok.
I’ve been admiring the artwork I see on all my Thai friends. I love the style of the artwork and think it would be appropriate to have a piece of my own.

Problem being; I am not Buddhist. I do not wish to have a specifically religious design. Not because of superstition, more because it seems inauthentic.

Can anyone give me some resources or insight into non-religious traditional Thailand tattooing (if there is such an art form)?

I once read a discussion regarding farangs or tourists visiting Thailand getting tattoos of religious images is creating some stir. They even mentioned that if Thailand??s Culture Minister Niphit Intharasombat will have his way, their tattoo parlors will be off limits to foreigners.Well, if you??re looking for tattoo designs that??s inspired by the Thai??s religious or traditional tattoo??s you can visit http://www.tattoomenow.com/?hop=bjarvie. They got lots of designs to choose from that will absolutely help you find your dream tattoo. Good luck in finding your design!

I want to get a tattoo for my kids?

My husband has our sons bday in roman numerals and he plans to get our daughters bday too. And I was thinking of getting the first letter of their names but I kinda want to get something different. Any ideas? Or can you tell me what you have or plan to get to represent your kids?

when I have child I’m getting his/her hand print(hospitals handprint of the newborn) tattoo’d over my heart with the first name written in cursive underneath. Luna for a baby girl and lathan for a baby boy, I can’t wait to be a father :)

It all depends on this……

Getting pictures of their faces on your arms like Eminem is pretty tight and representative of how much you love them. Then you could get your grandchildren on your chest and back maybe.

Tattoo pain in another area ?

Hi, yesterday I got my first tattoo, across half my back, I was just wondering if anybody else experienced this but the most painful point for me for some reason, was right in the center of my left elbow, probably from where I was digging my elbow into the chair but everytime the needle touched my back a sharp pain would shoot in my elbow, and it hurt more than the feeling of getting my back tatood, just found this a little paculiar :/ ?

He hit a nerve ending. That particular spot is a little unusual, for it to shoot to the elbow. But I guess it happens there too.
