im going to get my very first tattoo in a couple of weeks and i would like some input on what kind of pain to be expecting. im getting a quote on my left shoulder area with a small, simple picture underneath (GAAAHHH SO EXCITED). Thanks in advance for any answers and your help
It’s all about pain tolerance. In my opinion it’s the length of time it will take and detail of the tattoo itself not where you get it.
This exact question has been asked hundreds of times on here, why wouldn’t you use the search bar to find out its obvious that nobody can tell you how much a tattoo will hurt you…
===== Update:
You think the design of the tattoo changes the fact that nobody can tell you how much pain you’ll feel?If you wanted ideas of how others felt, why not use the search bar and read every question that asked how badly shoulder tattoos hurt?
Like a BeeACH
I’ve seen some amazingly beautiful tattoos. Buttttttttttt……..
You might want to consider a few things before having ink injected under your skin.
If you have the potential for high end, higher paying jobs, you will be punished if your tattoo shows. Promotions withheld along with raises. The more visible, the bigger, the more you will find yourself stuck, with no advancement potential.. ?AND NO, your employer will never ever tell you why. It’ll just happen. This is WHY, those that CAN qualify for high paying jobs, later spend thousands $$$$ to have their tattoos removed.?
If you don’t have the potential for higher paying jobs, then it doesn’t matter if you tattoo your entire body. GO FOR IT !
You already KNOW, most people don’t like anything for more than a few months. Yet they mark their body with ink that is virtually irreversible to "completely" remove. Most people don’t want to look at the same thing, ANYTHING, for the next 70 to 80 years as it stretches to something unrecognizable?
The tattoo fad is fading fast. It won’t be long and they’ll mostly go back to where only Sailors, Bikers and Carnies get tattoos. Not one of my relatives doesn’t wish they would have never gotten a tattoo.?
It is estimated that it will be a billion dollar business a few years down the road, when those who bit on the tattoo fad finally realize their tatoo’s were MADE, for "LIFE", and they pay thousands of dollars to (TRY) to have it burned off with a laser…..
Long after the taboo and coolness (they think this will be) has worn off, they’ve shown all their friends, and shortly thereafter, nobody cares anymore, it will still be there with you FOREVER !!! ?This is especially true the younger the person is when they get the tattoo.
?18 -23 year olds make up the majority that will be paying for removal later. So I suggest, if you get one, put it where it can easily be hidden. What sounds like a great idea as a teen or early tween, often turns out NOT to be. Tattoos are FOREVER ! you will on day regret it, if you get inked.?
My friend sent me this little poem, and as a result, it made me think about it Juuuuust long enough that I changed my mind and didn’t get ink injected under my skin. ?

Your Choice….
There isn’t one other thing you’ve ever bought that you’d want to die with. Let alone, injected under your skin 4 EV R……
